Gary,

The subscribers of iSeries NEWS have to make an informed decision whether to
use the FAST400 product or not. To do this, they need as much honest and
complete information as they can get: Does the product work, will it work
in the future, what is IBM's response going to be, what are the legal
implications of running the product, blah, blah, blah.

You say you can make a "very, very good guess" as to how FAST400 works.
Would informing your subscribers of this guess help them in their decision
making? If so, is that not your duty as a journalist to inform them?

I will not badger you on this subject. I know that in the real world, a
trade publication servers its advertisers before it does its subscribers.
But, why would it not be responsible to report what you know?
