Brenda We have a Complimentary Infor solution called QuikTrac that would allow you to take your existing I Series screens and map them down to the Symbol devices without and host programming. With out QuikTrac solution, you can define the screen size on the handheld device, map any text or input field down to the host and extend the same functionality, including real time error handling right at the device. QuikTrac also handles your system when the host is not available and real time if you are shipping with COM. One of our biggest clients, Meridian Automotive Systems uses Symbol, but we are hardware independent. Please contact me off line if you would like to know more about our solution or go to our website and read some of our case histories for Infor customers. The screens are 16 rows by 20 characters wide. It doesn't allow the full green screen to be displayed in Inventory transactions - (option 1 on menu AMIM30). We are considering writing a program to create an offline file for using these devices. Is anyone else using these or similar devices? And if so, how are you handling the screen size for Mapics applications? Thanks, Brenda Trisko iSeries Systems Programmer/Analyst Douglas Machine Inc.
