Brenda, What Release are you on? We are on XAR6. We do this for our RM, IP and IW transactions, using a Symbol handheld. I have written some programs that populate the Offline Load file and feeds into IM Transaction processing. For RM transactions they scan the M#, Qty, # of Cartons, FIFO date, Location and Qty. For IP transactions they scan the M#, Location, Lot, FIFO and Qty. For IW transactions they scan the Item#, Qty, From Lot, FIfO, From Whs, Fm Locn, To Whs and To Locn. The program then creates the offsetting RW trans. All of the screens were designed to fit in the top left corner of your typical green screen. They fit perfect on the handhelds then. Hope this helps, Nick Nick Radich Sr. Programmer/Analyst EPC Molding, Inc. The screens are 16 rows by 20 characters wide. It doesn't allow the full green screen to be displayed in Inventory transactions - (option 1 on menu AMIM30). We are considering writing a program to create an offline file for using these devices. Is anyone else using these or similar devices? And if so, how are you handling the screen size for Mapics applications? Thanks, Brenda Trisko iSeries Systems Programmer/Analyst Douglas Machine Inc.
