Ann: I have seen that happen before or using a logical that does not get updated immediately can cause some grief. I don't think that is causing our problem since Offship is processing the records/creating a shipment, just that stinking AMI3G goes whacko. We have a program where someone goes in & checks that the items being shipped are correct, the special charge is ok, etc and will be shipped today. The last screen in this program the user press either F5 to say order is shipping or F11 to indicate it is not. When the say F5, we update the offship group-id to 'READY' in all 3 files for this order. This is how we only process orders that are shipping today (physically leaving our warehouse), some may not leave until the next day or so. We are planning on using the same logic when we go to the next step of creating the shipment immediately, by populating the group-id with the job number so we don't try to process an order that may be in the update process from another workstation. There was a discussion on this just a week or so ago about using UF A. My programs are using O for the offship files and I had to close the files and use *INLR=*ON to get all the records written before calling the offship program. I even tried FRCRATIO on the OVRDBF for SLDATA but have commented that out.
