Perhaps you have already done this:

If you have the source code for the CL program, put a CPYF (append) of
the input file to a holding file.   You then have a copy of all records
just before the RPG program gets them.  Anything weird with the records
would be found in there.

We have found that using INTRWU & looking for records with a status of
"E" 
works much quicker than using IMHIST/MBCOREP.  We have a bunch of
records 
in IMHIST, so that is why we have found INTRWU to be quicker.

We have looked at missing SLQNTY records, not enough inventory in the 
location, etc & nothing comes up as to why.  We are tailored to not
allow 
negative & controlled warehouse.

I am still leaning towards corrupted data coming in, since the problem
is 
difficult to reproduce & inconsistent.
