We also have a 520 and we have an lpar system. We run OS400 lpar and a Linux lpar. When we moved to this environment we didn't have to do any specific for the license because of the lpar.
We have a rel6 en 7 version of Mapics and nothing specific about lpar.On the other hand we have some other licensed programs, which we need to order the specifick lpar version.(+++$$$$$$)
So for Mapics you should be ok.I even think it's the same when you have 2 or more OS400 lpar running Mapics.

We currently have System i5 model 520 without any LPAR's. Our XA license is a 200 concurrent user. We are considering an upgrade to our system that would allow us to create LPAR's. We are also considering moving our test environment to a second LPAR. So my question is would we need to have a second license to run a test environment in a different LPAR? A second question would be if we have a second LPAR but don't run XA in it is there still any licensing concerns? Thanks Doug_______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
