Tom,Sometimes the grass looks greener on the other side. I "had" a MAPICS customer that switched to VAI because of the low price and no annual maintenance. They were also sold on the web piece, interfaces with all these neat packages, etc. It's been over 6 years and hundreds of thousands of "extra" dollars and it is still not doing what they were promised.
Along with the lack of usable documentation (for any programmer to use), at that time had no data collection system, did not have a good "manufacturing module" according to their own sales rep - I could go on. At the time, they were only paying around $30K for annual maintenance for XA.

No doubt I should be looking at converting to another ERP system like System 2000 (from VAI) if Infor quotes something outrageous like what I have been reading.
