Hi Nick,
Try WRKSRVPVD "Work with Service Provider"

It should give you a list, and you should see "*IBMSRV IBM Service Support"
listed as a control point. You can display and change the phone number
there. Put a '9:' in front of the existing phone number.

Best Regards,

Ed Kandel

Subject: [MAPICS-L] ECS phone line

Hello again,

As long as I'm in the mood for keying messages today, here's another one.

It is not really about MAPICS, but.

We recently changed the way our phone system works, and now I have to put
a '9,' in the beginning of the outgoing phone number on anything dialing
out of our AS/400. Everything works great except our ECS line. I keep
changing it using WRKCTLD QESCTL, and then doing a 2 to change it. I then
change the phone number to have a '9,' in front of it and the system
accepts the change.

But whenever it runs, I get error CPA58D9, Call to controller QESCTL on
line QESLINE failed. Remote busy. This is caused because the phone line
is now going through our switchboard. When I look at the Controller
Description again, the system changed the phone number back to what it
was, without the '9,'.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanx again,

Nick
