RE: MAPICS Month End Closeouts

M.I.S. (me actually) is responsible for everything but financial closes.

Here's my routine:

1.  At 7:30 PM, ensure the nightly 7 pm nightly invoicing job completed
successfully.

2.  Put job appropriate job schedule entries on hold. 

3.  AT 11:50 PM, after the backup starts, ensure it kicks off ALL users
before 12:00! A prebackup command will disable all users that have LMTCPB
*YES.

4.  At 12:30 AM after backup and post backup command completes, submit
custom month end job and close COM and IM.

5.  Set alarm for 2:30 AM and go to bed.

6.  At 2:30 AM, ensure month end job was successful.  Release holds from job
schedule entries and submit immediately if appropriate (MRP for example).
Run 
     command to enable users that were disabled as part of the pre-backup
command.

7.  Arrive late at work the next day and spend most of the day e-mailing
month end reports.

8.  Accounting does the financial closes.

Accounting is responsible for the close and I.S. is in charge of before
and after backup.
