Couldn't you use the COM Item comments (since the program has already been
written to enter the data) and use those files to print instead of creating
a new file and the maintenance program.  You can even change the MZGLCPP
(Report Overrides file) field GLAAN5 "Allow comment Print" to a 1 for
specific Mfg reports and create a procedure to retrieve the data for you.
