XML file transfer to/from Mapics files

We are looking to interface SAP financial and MAPICS XA data. The
preferred method is XML formatted messages that will be passed to and
from MAPICS ( vendor updates, customer updates,shipments and purchases).

Short of purchasing  System-Link -is anyone doing something similar to
this or can anyone offer any alternatives?
