Steve, Since MAPICS does not have consistent commit control across the suite of applications, how do you recover a "save-while-active" backup? If you've solved this problem, my biggest headaches will be solved to! Now we run our own that does an save-while-active. QINTER is down for about 2 minutes while the SWA does its thing to get in sync. At the end we do a dsptap to show what was backed up. We have a 3581 tape drive, it is awesome!!! We do the MAPICS pre/post backup routines within the CL that does the SWA. Dale you said "doesn't give me the same thing that I get when I manually run the "Save disk backup to tape"." What is different about it? Could you modify it to be the same? Steve Jones
