Dear Marlene: I am glad to see and hear that Mapics Senior Management is reviewing this issue. I would also like to point out that most of the members of this exchange forum are Mapics supporters, but due to management decisions we are forced to leave the Mapics products. The perception that other platforms or software's are less expensive is exactly that a perception, however once the switch is done there is little chance of coming back. I hope that the review will result in a pricing policy that will help keep the Mapics community alive, well, and growing. By facilitating Mapics customers to upgrade their hardware to have more processing power, you may find that Mapics users will be happier, more productive and more new Mapics modules will be purchased. I look forward to hear from some Mapics customers on their success stories on their upgrades. I think a reasonable thing to do would be just to offer everyone a rollover to user-based pricing for no charge, or a nominal charge. Then as they add more applications (or users), charge per seat. That's how an awful lot of software companies do it. Of course, you have to look at the per seat charges also. If you have two people working in A/P, why pay for 120 seats? The cost needs to be reasonable that way, also. Someone at Mapics should start doing something before there is no more Mapics customers. As you can see Mapics, customers are going to other softwares and by inhibiting customers for growing to larger iSeries hardware Mapics is digging their grave and committing suicide to the Mapics product line. It is sad that Mapics Management has lost sight of reality and the needs and expectations of their customers. Steve -----Original Message----- From: John C.
