Rusty, This is something I've done before. If you want, I can send you source code listings for my programs and ftp script. I had to automatically send sales order information from an AS400 to a Unix box automatically each time an order was closed. The order information was converted to an ASCII flat file and zipped with GZIP on the AS400, then ftp'd to the unix box. This all happened automatically and transparently anytime a user closed an order. At the time I did this, you could download an AS400 version of GZIP for free. I'm not sure whether that's still possible or not. You may not want to zip the files anyway if you're not sending that much data.
