Bryan, May I suggest JacanaForms. It is a full featured forms package that can easily handle your check printing - including MICR, along with your other multi-part forms. Multiple copies can be printed, with Accounting Copy or other text or differences to identify the copy. Each part can be sent to a different printer and/or emailed or sent to a fax application. All inclusive package including Mapics form templates with special pricing through Sept 30th. We utilize an NT server to offload the forms processing from the AS/400 and enable us to work in a graphical environment where the graphical nature of the forms is fully supported. We do not utilize IPDS, AFP, overlays or other AS/400 constructs. You design the form on a Windows PC and it merges the AS/400 spool file data and prints to standard Laser printers. Does not require dedicated servers or printers. Please contact me off list if you would like more information or a demo. Laser printing was my suggestion and Accounting is open to the idea but would like some costs. Presently print about 200 two-part AP checks a week on preprinted forms. Do we have to buy a forms package to accomplish this? We presently hand stamp the checks. What would be the ballpark price for a bare bones forms package? On the other hand, we also line print about 200 two-part invoices a day, three-part BOL's on preprinted forms, and PO's on preprinted cut sheets for a laser printer, so perhaps we should buy a package to do it all. Any recommendations? Bryan Burns System Operator ECHO Incorporated Lake Zurich, Illinois 847-540-8400 ext. 493
