Bob's interpretation of mentioning and promoting is spot on. I agree that it would be beneficial to get more users involved in a sharing forum of this nature, whether it's this list or something else, but I also know how hard it can be to persuade them to sign up. The most common answer I've gotten is "I'll take a look at it when I have more time". Of course, we all know that "more time" never really becomes available for anyone. If anyone thinks that another forum might work better to get through to certain people, then by all means go ahead and set it up! Whether it succeeds or fails, someone will learn something from it, as many of us have here from this modest little mailing list. I hope that any new ventures have at least as much success as we're having here.
