Bob has asked a very appropriate question here> What is it that you hope
to achieve? There are a couple tools that may be helpful to you
depending on what you want to achieve.

The first is a utility by Progressive Systems called Shared Apps - this
application will allow you to, as the name implies, share information
from an environment with those in another. You can read about it at
www.progsysinc.com. The other is an application that we developed called
InterSite PropaGator; this system allows you to keep data on one AS/400
(or in 1 MAPICS environment) current with another AS/400 (or another
environment on the same 400). Otherwise you will have disparate data in
the two environments. The system is configurable, so that you can
propagate select data, or all fields and files. If you'd like to know
more about it you can feel free to contact me off-line. While this tool
was developed with the needs of multi-site, international manufacturers,
it could work very well for the scenario you have suggested.

Perhaps you could elaborate on the purpose of creating multiple (near
identical) environments.
Thanks,
Frank
