It is my understanding that the problem is a bit
larger. If you have several revisions and you
maintain a back level one, or just maintain one,
pick any one, that one gets sent to PDM regardless
of revision number. So in our case when we were
trying to maintain different purchase prices by
revision, typically the item master c record that
purchasing uses was incorrect. It depended on what
was maintained last and who maintained it.

We have also had to adopt the policy of effectivity
dating out an old revision and effectivity dating
in a new revison or deleting the old revision.
Otherwise the rest of MAPICS can get way confused
since when two component parts are equally effective
if not part of the active EPDM bill it will chose the
first.

So it would be real nice to have revision in the rest
of the MFG apps but I don't expect it anytime soon.

Anyone find any other good workarounds?
