NGS-IQ (Interactive Query) gives you much more processing power than the
conventional AS/400 Query in the area of selecting records and performing
complex calculations. We use it for ad-hoc reports and to create database
files for passing to Excel or Crystal Reports. It works great and it is fairly
easy
to use and understand. I'm not sure about the cost, but it is a worthwhile
alternative to investigate.
