I'm not a MAPICS "old fogie," but I've used CHGDTAARA AMFLIBx/ZDDCTD 'b'
within the past two months! It still is possible, y'know.

remember CHGDTAARA AMFLIB?/ZDDCTD 'b' Clear dedicated mode. I sure used
that
one alot.

And then you had to wait for PTF's by mail....and screaming users until you
had
dedicated time to apply them. The Help Desk operator knew you by the
sound
of your voice. Was her name Dolores? She's retired now.

Also, you could count all the applications on 2 hands.....how many are there
now?

WOW! You guys are making me feel old! I started with MAPICS in 1984 with
an
IBM Business Partner when IBM still owned MAPICS and there was no such
thing
as ALF!!!!!!! I have worked with roughly 50 different companies running
MAPICS and still have quite a few as clients. Boy, have things changed!

I still have an index card in my day-timer with the required steps to get
out
of the System/36 MAPICS Job Queue Restart Loop...anyone remember that! How

well I remember my first MAPICS modification where I was testing at night
and
I got into the LOOP. I was there ALL NIGHT LONG trying to get out of it
and
had to wait for the support line to get me out of the LOOP the next
morning!!!! The index card with the steps to get out of the loop was like
my
American Express card.......I never left home without it!
