Jack,

My first company, Factron, had a sister company in CA that ran MARCAM
Purchasing. Our purchasing "system" was home-grown, mainly because when we
needed it (early '81) MARCAM didn't have theirs ready yet and GMD's was
still really shaky. When I went to GNP in '88, I found that GMD Purchasing
was STILL really shaky. We kept it shaking for another 4 years until we
finally went from MAPICS I to /db. Funny, I think I've suppressed a lot of
memories of those 4 years... ;)

P.S. Gail's another one who started at the age of 12, though, right? Or
was it 8? :)
