Title: RE: MAPICS Green Screen Support

What are you going to do if your Ethernet Line fails (if you use TCP/IP) and you don't
have any green screen devices to get into the system and find out the problem and get it
going again? None of your PC's are going to be able to get on the system!!!!

Personally I look forward to burying green screen, with the C/S apps and
new ISeries......its only a matter of time.  But as far as back room green
screen, I'm sure it will remain for another decade!

Everyone says DOS is dead, but think about how often techs use it
to maintain/fix NT, 98 & 2K.  Much like green screen, it goes as fast
as you can type!

In a perfect world, per my time line, all my users will be 100% GUI
first business day 2002.....wish me luck!

I would like to know if anyone has heard if MAPICS will be dropping support
of the Green Screen's in the future?  This topic came up in a small user
group meeting this week.  As more and more emphasis is placed on GUI and
Client architecture, I'm sure this is a serious issue with the future of
MAPICS.

Thanks,

Robert M. Arnold.
