According to Phil Joseph, of the MAPICS Development Lab, green screens are
not going away for the foreseeable future. However, as was indicated in an
earlier post, new power architecture applications will have additional
functionality that will not be available on a greenscreen. MAPICS has
acknowledged the importance of greenscreens in certain scenarios and has
indicated that they will remain viable for some time.
