  • Subject: Purchasing unit of measure conversion

I have a different type of problem, and am looking for suggestions from the
peanut gallery.

Facts:
I purchase ribbon in pounds, but receive and use it in yards.
1 pound is 5,000 yards.
I need for the purchasing module to print in pounds, but I want to receive
it in yards.

How should I set this item up so that it is purchased in the correct
quantities, yet is also received in the correct quantities and UOMs? I don't
think a standard uom conversion will work, since other items way more or
less than 5,000 per lb.

I'd appreciate any hints or tips you can give me.
