Forwarded by moderator on behalf of Tim Strange (tms@westernenterprises.com): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - We currently dnload the shipping addresses into a CSV file and import them into UPS Online. -----Original Message----- From: Russ Schneider [mailto:rschneider@greatnecksaw.com] Sent: Thursday, September 14, 2000 4:22 PM To: 'MAPICS-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: UPS interface I am in the process of implementing this myself with XA rel4. Some things to consider: You want to use the ODBC connection. I create a join logical over the Order Header + Order Extension (for Cust PO#) + Ship to file (MDBEREP) + Address file (MBALREP) . Keyed by order#. You can map address fields to UPS Shipto + Package fields. Put the logical in it's own Library or a library with a few objects. For some reason when you open up the file in UPS world ship, it seems to want to touch every file (object) in the Library. Thus resulting in a long time to get the prompt for the order#. I'm also having some problems using the Client Access Express ODBC file, I would recommend using V3R2M0 client access. > -----Original Message----- > From: gcrane@johansonmfg.com [SMTP:gcrane@johansonmfg.com] > Sent: Wednesday, September 13, 2000 10:07 PM > To: MAPICS-L@midrange.com > Subject: UPS interface > > > > Has anyone on the list interfaced the UPS World Ship system with MAPICS > COM? > Any tips would be greatly appreciated. +--- | This is the MAPICS Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MAPICS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MAPICS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAPICS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: dshaw@spartan.com +---
