We are running and MRP and MPSP.
We are firming orders in MPSP and passing them to MRP once a week.
In some cases the firmed order gets an exception message to change its date
in MPSP and for various reasons this is not always done by the Master
Scheduler.
Regardless of whether the Master Scheduler accepts the reccommendation the
reccommended date is passed through to MRP.
It must be manually over-ridden when releaseing the order in MRP or the
Master Schedulers wishes will not be honoured.
We raised this issue with MAPICS and they claimed that MPSP and MRP are
working as designed and that if we wanted to change it we should put custom
code in.
Does anyone else have this as an issue?
If we get enough support then this can be raised as an Enhancement request
with MAPICS.
