Turns out I get this:""" Error with virtual volume image. Image catalog ISOCATALOG not loaded to device OPTVRT01. """ So it looks like I need to investigate the image no?
As I continue to grow more familiar and proficient with this AS/400 I am finding out about the integrated help and using it. One such help message mentioned to me something about the LOAD IMAGE CATALOG command: """ : o You must have security administrator (*SECADM) and all object : : (*ALLOBJ) special authorities to use this command. : """ After more experimentation and poking around I was able to find out how to view the attributes of my current profile. I found out that the "class" of my caccount isn't *SECADM, but rather *SECOFR (security officer). It seems at face value that this IS the reason for the problem hands down. HOWEVER I am wondering if the *SECOFR is on the same level of clearance as a *SECADM and that the auth level isn't really the problem. Does *SECOFR have sufficient privileges, or is this finally the root problem I've been trying to find? -- Tommy Butler, Linux Engineer tommy.butler@xxxxxxx office: (682) 831-8050
