Hello All,
I am finally to the point where I realize I need to start learning more
about JPA rather than using my own methods of executing and SQL statement
and iterating through the result set.
Hibernate seems to be all the rage and it looks like it's a great framework,
but does anybody have any experience with OpenJPA? It looks like WebSphere
Application Server uses OpenJPA?
By basic needs would be to get results sets from SQL statements as well as
call stored procedures. The stored procedure calls I was a little concerned
about with Hibernate. It looks like you have to return a result set with a
call. I have not dug into this by any means, so I could be wrong. Just
quickly glanced at some documentation.
Does anybody have any opinions on these frameworks? Rants and/or raves are
welcome.
