But for the rest of us who agree that Tomcat is a great servlet

engine, 

give it a whirl and have fun. 


Tomcat is definitely a good servlet engine. But our managers won't
authorize production use of any 3rd party application without a support
package to back it up. If we have a problem with Tomcat, we want to be
able to pick up the phone, call support, and say, "How do we fix this?"
This is the biggest stumbling block to all open source applications in
our shop.
