iText http://www.lowagie.com/iText/ is a library that allows you to
generate PDF files on the fly, however it does not support Microsoft
Word. That is the only software I know of that will allow you to
generate PDF documents via Java.

Subject: Convert Word to PDF on iSeries

Hi there,

Anybody know of a tool that can take Microsoft Word documents and
convert
them to PDF using Java? The reason I say it needs to use Java is
because
this needs to run on the iSeries - which doesn't necessarily mean I NEED
Java, but that would be the best for my scenario :-)

I know of a whole slew of tooling that could run on Windows to do this,
but
strictly on the iSeries I have not had to do this before.

Thanks,
Aaron Bartell
