Thanks for the inputs.
Just another query. 
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/toolbox/downloads.htm mentions the 
steps to be performed after the download. As i understand, the download 
consists of jar files that are used by the java client to talk to the AS/400. 
Step 4 mentions that  the file be FTPed to the AS/400 box? Why is this 
required? Is it that the server component is packed along with the download 
that needs to be installed on the server? I guess the RSTLICPGM must be that 
component. I had assumed that the Toolbox server component would be installed 
or atleast be present along with the native OS on the AS/400. Am i wrong there?

Yipes.  No, that's not the case.  The two versions aer never in synch -
JTOpen is always a little bit ahead of the LPP.  It looks like the link for
the LPP is wrong.  I'll drop a line to Chris Smith and see what's up there.
