Hi Joe, Thanks for the inputs. Just another query. http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/toolbox/downloads.htm mentions the steps to be performed after the download. As i understand, the download consists of jar files that are used by the java client to talk to the AS/400. Step 4 mentions that the file be FTPed to the AS/400 box? Why is this required? Is it that the server component is packed along with the download that needs to be installed on the server? I guess the RSTLICPGM must be that component. I had assumed that the Toolbox server component would be installed or atleast be present along with the native OS on the AS/400. Am i wrong there? TIA, abhishek. -----Original Message----- From: Joe Pluta [mailto:joepluta@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, April 21, 2003 7:27 PM To: Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 Subject: RE: Query regarding purchase of IBM Toolbox for Java > From: abhishekhp > > I checked the download page for the Toolbox and the link for > download of both JTOpen and the Toolbox points to the same > download. Does that mean that the current version of JTOpen and > that of the IBM Toolbox are in sych? Yipes. No, that's not the case. The two versions aer never in synch - JTOpen is always a little bit ahead of the LPP. It looks like the link for the LPP is wrong. I'll drop a line to Chris Smith and see what's up there. > Thanks again for your help, That's what we try to provide here at JAVA400-L <grin>. _______________________________________________ This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
