FWIW, I'm been playing around with bringing java and RPG together in ILE. The interfaces are sort of lame (RPG side), but the general idea is sound. RPG is better at DB access than java and java has the interfaces to the PC and Internet world. I'm starting to understand there is a space where java and RPG play nice together... Defining that space is still a work in progress but I think there is a space where each language can make a contribution as equal partners. dan -----Original Message----- From: Dieter.Bender@t-online.de [mailto:Dieter.Bender@t-online.de] Sent: Tuesday, January 28, 2003 2:40 AM To: Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 Subject: Re: Accessing AS/400 data Hi, simply use JDBC to get the data with a java program, the toolbox driver comes with every as 400 and runs fine.
