There are quite a few books out now that do a good job of explaining 
Struts. You can't go wrong with Struts in Action, which is an
intermediate 
level book that covers Struts along with some pretty creative uses of 
Struts. You might also want to consider The Struts Framework: 
Practical Guide for Programmers, which doesn't go into as much detail 
and is very reasonable priced.
