I would agree with most of your statement. Open Source Frameworks like
Struts are a good starting point to write java applications and to
avoid some of the beginner problems. If you get into performance
problems (not so unusual with web applications), a well modularized
design will help you in most cases; just find the responsable
components and redesign this components optimized for speed.
The discussion in the as400 java community is too much focused on
CRTJVAPGM, the drivers and special features of as400 or WebsFear, but
maybe I've had a little bit success to change this with this thread.
