Yup. With same or different parameters. Not a problem unless I DROP and
CREATE the same Java-written SP without signing off.

Good thought. During STRSQL:
----Activation Group-----
Number Name In Use Indicator
0000000001 *DFTACTGRP Yes
0000000002 *DFTACTGRP Yes
0000003166 QJVAJDBC No
0000001242 QLGLOCAL No
0000003178 QSQCLI No

I haven't the time to test it now, but I will try to reclaim these
system-created AGs to see if that works.

>Are you calling a native program from your

No native calls, sort of. The way Java-written SPs work, the system creates
a C program that runs in AG(*CALLER). Since I am running STRSQL straight
off the command line (sign on, no initial program, STRSQL) it should be
running in the default AG.

*CHG. I will test *NONE.

>PTF SI04186 looks like it may be a similar problem.
>Is this PTF applied?

No and I will check this out too.

I don't think the JVM is disappearing; rather the opposite. I think that
once the class is loaded into memory you can't change it.
