Hello all, maybe you can be of some help. I am looking for a position I
have 26 years experience in data processing, most, of which has been as a
Systems Programmer and Applications Programmer in RPG and COBOL on IBM
midrange systems. Programmed on the AS/400 since 1987 in RPG IV, ILE and
COBOL. Application/industry experience includes manufacturing, accounting,
financial, telephony, distribution, insurance and dental. Just completed a
consulting assignment for a mortgage and financial AS/400 software
development company.

As a system programmer I have been responsible for system moves,
capacity
planning, disaster recovery planning, communications between midrange
systems and all other computer platforms. Established mail integration with
various platforms. During my stay with a multi-national corporation I
managed/planned/implemented a WAN and all support personnel. This meant
learning to program Cisco routers and working with all aspects of dial up,
T1/T3 and frame relay communications.

As a volunteer I have trained helped to train the youth of the
Louisville
community on the computer industry. This meant setting up of a LAN showing
them how to use it as well as training them on Microsoft Office Suite and
many other computer related matters.

I maintain a 4 node LAN in my home, which I train and practice on.
Built
numerous PC from the ground up and am one of those who are very comfortable
on PCs, midrange and mainframe systems.
