Fellow programmers: I've recently developed an fairly simple (though, I'm afraid, still proprietary) RPG mailer that works by calling an absurdly simple Java application (one class with nothing in it but a static main method), that in turn calls JAVAMail. For what it's worth. And I'm not aware of any problems with Java versions (but then again, I can't recall which version the JVM on that particular AS/400 is). -- James H. H.
