Eric,

I would suggest trying to run a quick test in qshell running with verbose
turned on to help find the problems.  I have a java application that will
test out the javamail api for you.  If interested, drop me a email at
agarrison@logtech.com.  You should be able to use the JavaMail 1.1.3 api
just fine in your setup.
