Did you remember to change the QUTCOFFSET system value as well? -----Original Message----- From: tmalin@hannasteel.com [mailto:tmalin@hannasteel.com] Sent: November 6, 2000 08:06 To: JAVA400-L@midrange.com Subject: Strange results coming from Java Date Method???? I use a date method to get current date and time. Before Day light savings it worked perfectly, now it is an hour behind the current time on the AS/400. We changed the AS/400's time for daylight savings. example 9:00 AM CST 8:00 AM CST. Date today = new Date(); // Current Date & Time TimeZone tz1 = TimeZone.getTimeZone("CST"); SimpleDateFormat format = new SimpleDateFormat("EEEE MMM. dd, yyyy hh:mm:ss z"); format.setTimeZone(tz1); I recompiled the Java pgm and placed the new version in the IFS still an hour off. Any help would greatly be appreciated, hopefully I am missing something simple.
