Printing from the browser is ok, but the report has too many columns, (and landscape doesn't cut it either). But if the print from the as/400, the report formats correctly on the printer....

So right now, I send the report as an html, to the end user as an attachment, so they can view it, but if they want to print it via the as/400 , I wanted to give them a link to click on that would change the original spoolfile to their outs for printing...

But you want to e-mail them a link (correct?). It's true that link doesn't
have to be http://something <http://something> . Another alternative is
ftp://something <ftp://something> ; this would require you to run the FTP
server on your AS/400 and expose that to the internet. Then the end user
could download the html file via FTP and, um, print it from the browser? I
didn't understand what the link was supposed to achieve. Do you want to
prevent the user from printing the report? It looked like you wanted the
user to be able to move the report to a different outq? Perhaps you could
clarify what you do want.

Currently,
I have an RPG program that generate a spool file, then Another program to
convert that spool file to an html, and then I mail the *.html file from the
IFS to the intended end user...

Now the end user want to print that report, but I don't want them to print
with the browser, but I would like to give them a link, that they can click
on, that will run (I guess) a java program that will connect to the as/400
and change the attributes of the oginal spoolfile to the outq, defined
inside the URL?

Is that possible? And if so, any good suggestions or examples?
