So from what you say Jon, I should consider converting my applications to
event driven applications instead of the good old RPGIII cycle driven pgm?

From what I've tried with VARPG, it seems that we cannot compile an ILERPG
program that is the result

Booth - you've got me real confused with this statement.  First - there is
no
cycle in VARPG.  You can _only_ write event-driven code.  Second - as to the
screens being crowded, the imported screen are fully editable so if they are
crowded it's 'cos you choose to have them that way.
