Just wondered if someone out there did some server side java on the
as400 and tell some stories about it. mainly how can you:

1. interact with legacy programs
2. interact with udb/400.
3. Handle transactions commit etc.
4. Print reports

Is it real ? should i wait for ejb ?

Shahar, the weakest link today is interaction with legacy programs. I suggest
data queues as much as possible, although you could probably use a data area as
well.

Interaction with the AS/400 database can be done quite easily using the toolbox,
including commitment control.

I haven't tried it, but there is a SpooledFileOutputStream that supposedly
writes out a spooled file.
