The San Francisco project's downloadable > stuff is Windows 95 only. So what's the point? Are they trying to > out-Windows Windows? Fear not! The reason that the new objects are platform specific is not long term. There are two difficulties facing users of the new objects. One, having install tools. Two, having a JVM of the appropriate level. Both will be available. Currently, if the objects require a higher version of the JVM than is available for OS/2 users then they will tell you not to use it. They just don't have time to try and handle every install problem that all potential users will run into. So, for the present time it's Win95. How do I know this will change? The operating system running IBM's Java based workstations is OS/2. > Booth Martin Chris Rehm Mr.AS400@ibm.net How often can you afford to be unexpectedly out of business?
