Re: 30 year old timebomb in Domino code explodes

I have been in communication with the developer that created this fix. The
beauty of this fix is it will work with ANY current FP level of a given
release. For example, let's say you have version 12.0.2 FP2 installed,
you can install this hotfix and it will work. If you currently have
12.0.2 FP5 installed, you can install this hotfix and it will.

The same applies to supported versions of 11.x and 14.x, considering you
have the respective hotfix for the release level.

The caveat is when moving forward. Let's say you currently have 12.0.2 FP3
installed and then install this hotfix. When/if you install 12.0.2 FP4 or
FP5 or a more recent FP, you will need to execute the RSTOBJ and
UPDSSRVPGM commands from the current hotfix to make sure the "timeincr"
service program/module is the one that is utilized. You will need to do
this AFTER you have upgraded the FP level.

This will be required until the hotfix is included in the core FP code.

Currently, the fix is only available for FP5. I would imagine that future
Fixpacks will include the fix. (Unless you're obtaining a specific hotfix
for FP4. In that case you'd have to load the hotfix for FP5 if you later
updated to FP5, I believe).

The great news is it's simple to install and will work for all

"flavors"

of a given release. For example, if you have a 12.0.2 server, that

It's a savefile you download, FTP to your server and then issue a

restore

object command and an UPDSRVPGM command. You'll want to have your

The timeincr service program is what gets updated.
