Great question, and the answer ... as expected ... is, "it depends".

Fixpacks are basically full installs (replacing all service programs
(srvpgm) in library LIBNOTES), so until this hotfix is included in a
Fixpack, it will need to be "reapplied" after installation of a fix pack.

With that said, taking version 12.0.2 as an example: the current hotfix is
for 12.0.2 FP5, so this would imply that if FP6 is created for 12.0.2,
this hotfix would be included. BUT, we will need to wait and have HCL
confirm to ensure my assumption is correct.

Question: If I apply this fix to 12.0.2FP4 and later put on 12.0.2FP5 do

have to run the UPDSRVPGM again or does FP5 not update that service
program?

The great news is it's simple to install and will work for all "flavors"
of a given release. For example, if you have a 12.0.2 server, that

object command and an UPDSRVPGM command. You'll want to have your
