It's been a while since I did this and I haven't tried to look up the 
docs, but I seem to recall that the name server needed to move first.  I 
gather your test server is in the same Notes domain as your production 
servers?  I think the best practice would be to test the ugprade in a 
different Notes domain, but that would probably involve a lot more work to 
make it happen if you don't already have the test domain active.

I only have one server here, so I didn't have to study that part of the 
process when we went from R5 to ND6...

But what if one has multiple servers?  Name server (our most critical one) 

first, or last?  Even before the test machine that we normally put new 
releases, etc on first?
