Two options here: 1) IP sprayer which is done at the network layer. Great option. Can be used to fail over from server to server. 2) ICM which is a Domino solution. Domino server is responsible for load balancing/fail over to multiple web sites. Still single point of failure if your ICM is down. ICM does not work with virtual servers. Also, it only redirects which means, it really only handles that first request. If it fails while a user is on, they have to go to that first link again to be directed to a server which is running. I would go with the IP sprayer. However if a user goes to http://mydomserver.mycompany.com and that domino server is toast, how do you get it to automatically roll over to http://myclusterbackup.mycompany.com Maybe I'm saying it all wrong but I hope you get the idea.
