Don't know what version of the OS you're running, but at V5R3 they've made a bunch of improvements to NetServer. We use Windows boxes to scan images and use NetServer to store the files on the iSeries. It used to take about 4 seconds to move an image from the Windows box to the iSeries. We can now move a couple of files per second.
