Yes, I'm sorry, I should have stated that. The 400 can ping by both IP and host name. Windows explorer from a PC can open the Linux share no problem e.g. \\linux-server\sharename or \\10.20.10.100\sharename The Linux box is running Samba and is acting as a Windows Domain Controller. (we are in the process of replacing WinNT 4 boxes with Linux) Thanks Bob Terry Chris Whisonant <Chris.Whisonant@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: domino400-bounces+rterry=shopvac.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx 07/08/2005 07:43 AM Please respond to Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 <domino400@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 <domino400@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject Re: Extending the IFS to a Linux box We are mounting a network filer, but I've never tried mounting a linux system. You said that it couldn't find the remote host - can you ping that box alright?
