I also had great luck with a chevy. I drove an Astro for both my consulting and rodeo-ing adventures. I still have it and it will run, but reverse and low gear are going out. I was hoping to get 400,000 miles on it, but it has 386,000. I only replaced 3 heater motors and 2 alternators. Although during this project at Indy, I am not commuting daily, I miss driving that little van.
